Performance and security server settings¶
In the Performance () menu you can enable/disable the following features:
- Image optimization () that optimizes images on your server daily without losing image quality. It helps save server space and speed up the overall website load. Also, our image optimization method allows optimizing without involving any third-party services which makes our system failproof, fast and stable.
- Image resizer and compressor () which, once enabled, permanently resizes the images on your server to 2500x2500px. It can improve the overall performance of your projects, but only if the significant load on your server is created by the images bigger than that size.
Security () settings is the place where you can manage some security params of your server.
The general security settings include
- Bot and Layer 7 protection (, ) that is enabled by default on all of our clients servers. Bot protection blocks and restricts some bad and malicious bots and security scanners and Layer 7 protection that enables extra security level from XSS, SQLi and activates DDoS protection along with Layer 7.
- The possibility to block requests that were sent from TOR ().
When the general settings are changed, click the Update server configuration button to apply the changes.
In the SSH security setting section you can manage the security settings related to the SSH/SFTP connection to your server. Here you can enable extra secure SSH ciphers () that is one of the PCI DSS requirements and improves the overall security of your project. You can also enable SSH access restriction only to specific IPs () and list the SSH addresses in the appropriate folder. When the settings are set up, click Update server configuration for the changes to take effect.
